Well that was a bummer

Sunday, October 13, 2013

So hubby and I did the zombie walk in town yesterday. First I will say we did have fun but walking that far and trying to actually participate (doing a "real" zombie shuffle etc) made us very sore and very tired. I spent about 1.5 hours on hubby's makeup and about 2.5 on mine. Unfortunately 2 of the three judges were teenage boys so the one award for best face makeup went to a teenage girl with a zipper on her face (one of 3 zipper faces). Best couple went to people who did nearly no makeup but the girl was cute... yeah. So I'm not cute and overweight. We had TONS of people freaked out and TONS of people asking to take our picture so that was a PLUS. I don't think we will do it again next year. I take pride in the makeup I do it's a lot of time and money we don't really have. We'll find something else fun to do. (I missed the historical society's cemetery tours which I would have enjoyed MUCH MUCH more.

On another note I didn't eat much during the day since I was sooooo busy so
hubby brought me a steak and cheese from Subway last night. I used to LOVE them (I worked at Subway for 2 years)but for some reason it just tasted bad. I ate most of it (picking off over half the meet) since I hadn't eaten much yesterday but it was NOT good. I wish now I would have stuck to my chicken chopped salad it would have tasted better and my tummy would have felt better. Hubby wanted me to have beef though as my iron is probably low since my cycles are out of whack and kinda bad.

On a good note I have been going to bed and night (usually between 10pm-12am) and getting up in the morning (between 6am-9am) My sleep has been restful for a change. No panicking when I fall asleep. Hopefully it stays that way! emoticon

I have found that my taste buds changed as I started eating healthier. Even yesterday, I had a small bag of lays potato chips at the bowling alley and I could not believe how salty they were. I had a hard time finishing them. Yet, I used to binge on a large bags of them.

At least it sounds like it was fun while you were doing it. Hardly seems fair to have teenagers as judges but what can you do. At least you got good reactions.

I agree, you just get use to the stuff that's good for you and the bad stuff just doesn't taste like you remember it tasting.

I think after you eat healthy, then when you eat bad stuff, it suddenly doesn't taste like it did before! I notice that when I eat pizza. I used to love pizza, but now when I eat it, all I feel is full and then sick to my stomach!

I hope you have a restless week a head! You have to do good things for yourself in order to be able to do for others! emoticon emoticon emoticon

After you do good stuff for a while, the bad stuff isn't so appealing!
