I'm back

Sorry everyone. I have been gone. I had not been feeling good.

But I am back.

I plan on getting started back up again. And good news I so far have lost a total of 10lbs!!!!

I know as long as I stick to my changes and keep going I will be able to do this.

Tonight will be a test of the wills. My husbands birthday is tomorrow and because he will be at work all night we are going out to dinner tonight.

I am taking him to the olive garden, which of coarse has lots of pasta and bread. all those carbs that I love but don't love me back.

my goal tonight, is to be smart, and to remind myself as I choose what to eat that I have lost 10 lbs already and I do not want to put it back on with tonights meal alone.

I think I will research the menu online before I go if possible so I can make my mind up before I go what I am going to order.

Researching the menu and coming up with healthier alternatives before you go to the restaurant is an excellent idea. I've done that several times and it really helped me keep on track.

    Welcome back! You are headed in the right direction by getting the nutritional information you need to make a good decision. Super that you've lost 10 pounds already. Just as RAWFRUGEELVR says - drink lots of water BEFOREHAND and be sure to ask for your meal cooked without salt!!

We're here "rain or shine" for the most part. When I'm feeling out of sorts or even ill, it can help to spark!

    Welcome back Congrats on losing 10 lbs. Great idea about planning your strategy. Drink lots of water before you go and watch for those hidden calories in "low cal" meals.

    Welcome back ... congratulations on your accomplishment thus far ... You can do this! If you ask the waiter at Olive Garden they will bring you their calorie listing and it is easier to make a smart choice. I also have them bring the salad without dressing and bring me oil/vinegar on the side. I, too, am just returning from a hiatus 'cause I cannot do this alone! So, together, let's git 'er done!
