Wk 131 Weigh In

Saturday, October 12, 2013

Remember last week when I complained about a small loss of 0.4 lbs?? I would easily trade the week I just had for that week.

This week was just plain bad. I didn't go to the gym and I made terrible food choices. Chinese food, pizza, fried chicken, etc. I ate a lot of bad food, but what's funny is that I didn't exceed my calorie range. However, it seems that my spark people calorie range and my actual weight are not on speaking terms.

This weeks numbers:

Weight : 215.4
Gain : 2.8
Total : 104.6

So, long story short, I blew it this week. What made it worse is that all of the bad food led to me being constipated. Shortly before sitting down to write this blog post I finally got to sit down and "do my business", thank God that's over. Now, sitting here writing, it feels like I'm sitting on a hot cactus.

I hope you're having a better Saturday than I am.

Ken, you never fail to make me laugh! I've been up and down the last few weeks myself, I think it has something to do with nature wanting to put some extra fat on for the winter, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Hang in there and get you some Destin, it will cool things off~ LOL

    yikes... the hot cactus.... yikes
I wonder how much of the gain was due to salt... I learned awhile back that salty foods caused an immediate increase in weight through water retention - so its not real weight gain but frustrating as all get out to see on the scale. Eliminate the salt and you'll see more consistent real weight measures. I also started a helpful evening snack routine... I plan my calories so I can have an evening snack of high fiber cereal with yogurt and fruit. I do it every night. The boost of healthy fiber keeps my system happy and avoids the hot cactus... yikes... what an image... yikes :)

the gain was probably due to the retention of solids...
You just need to put this week back where it belongs and strat fresh this week. Nothing can change what has already happen. You can change the here and now. You've done it before, you'll do it again. This is really not a nice paved road we are on. it has hills, holes, mud, rain, storms.... lots of things to slow us down and even sometimes make us go backward a bit. But the only thing to do is get up and keep moving.

    Have a great week!

These weeks happen to all of us, but you are doing the right thing by putting it out there and keeping the commitment to yourself to move forward on your healthy journey.

I stopped using SP guide ages ago as it said for the exercise I was doing I should eat 3054 cals. I found that my actual range is between 700 and 1000. I feel great and lose as well.
2.8 sucks and so does constipation. I think it is a battle we all face.

But that was last week you have the opportunity to make better choices or just eat less of those foods and bulk it out with fruit and veges or nuts to stay full. It's hard to care when you feel miserable but it will come right again. Mate!!!:)

Or in Kiwi (New Zealander) eh bro!!!

Watch a funny movie and have a good of you
