Running and Weight

Saturday, October 12, 2013

Running: Great 13.2 mile run this morning! It was 65 degrees this dark early morning and felt really good. At first I was disappointed that the Galloway Program Director kept me in the slower group. I didn't get to run my longest run ever, the 15 miles with the middle time improvement group. But I had been feeling kind of tired, so decided to go along with the assignment without complaint. Feeling pretty good this afternoon, so may have been the right call. I will get to run 15 miles two weeks from today. Still hope to run the HM on Nov 9th under my previous time of 2:37. We'll see.

Weight: 125.8 at home this morning at 4am before I left for our run. I weighed 127.0 at Weight Watchers dressed after breakfast, 13 mile run, and post-run snack. I've been sticking to my calorie range really well for the last couple weeks, but have not been doing as well on sodium and artificial sweetener use as I had been (but certainly better than before SparkPeople). I will improve! Been doing great mixing up my nonfat milk powder in a one quart bottle and measuring it better. I'm getting there.

You're doing great! I have a question for you--you are in a Galloway running group? Does your city just have one or did you make it? I run via Galloway, too but I don't see anyone else doing it. I'm wondering if I need to google running groups for my city or something. Hope you have a great day!

emoticon run! I'm envious that you have a JG training group. So great to have that support, especially when you need to get up at cold oh dark thirty to run!

Sounds like you're nailing your dream maintenance weight goal, too. Dressed and fed and ultrahydrated weight has got to be at least 2 pounds over nekkid first thing in the morn weight.

So excited to hear about your half. You are motivating me! I'm going to drag my flubby body out for a JG jog run to see if my knees will permit. I'll be thinking of you!

Did you ever think, 10 years ago, that you would be the person you are today?

(No, I didn't think so!) emoticon
