I decided to change my ticker to show "pounds off" - It is more affirmative of where I want to go.

And away we go! I am finding fresh ideas to hep me along right now. I regained almost 40 pounds since my husband died last year and I need a new approach to get me enthusiastic to lose it all AGAIN.

The nice thing is that it gives me fresh enthusiasm to do what I already know works for me - and even the enthusiasm to stick with it. The free items are creative and helpful - and that is saying a lot because I have a shelf of weight loss books.


Anyway - So far so good - 3.4 pounds off. Some of it may be "easy" weight because I gained a few over a short vacation.

Whatever... But if I hadn't decided to finally DO something - those pounds would have lingered. That is for sure. It also helped me when I realized the author had gained weight due to the sadness of three miscarriages at 6 months pregnant each. So - she understands overcoming emotional eating.

    What I am hearing is that you made the decision to change. Isn't that really the hard part?
