Cable TV

Friday, October 11, 2013

Oh my goodness! Our first day of having a hundred or so cable TV stations was incredible.... such a time gobbler.

I turned it off after changing from one station to another and finding different episodes of the same old sitcom....

At least tomorrow we will be able to watch something I really want to watch : my beloved Texas Aggies playing football in the SEC against Ol Miss...

Otherwise, JUST SAY NO!

I recently cancelled my cable, and I was amazed to see what a time suck it had been (and I didn't cancel it to be all hoity-toity about not having cable. emoticon I just realized I was paying an awful lot of money for never finding anything I wanted to watch).

I gave up on cable tv when it got to $21... that was a long time ago!

We have a $75 long distance antenna - cool looking, black and silver - it has lasted thru two hail storms... and DH watches TV just fine with it.

For me, TV is for the Wii and exercise videos. Wish I had that when I was 20, 30 and 40 yrs old.

Over 100 stations and nothing worth watching! Sad huh?
