update on feet and other news

Friday, October 11, 2013

First thing first I went to the orthopedist and had a cortisone shot in both feet. He didn't numb my feet however the pain is much more tolerable. I am not using Vicodin as much. I am trying to lose weight still. I am going up but not as much. Today is the last day of class for me so I am both sad and happy at the same time. I am planning to try running again. I need to get outside more. I told you about grieving normally and how I wasn't as of last night. I finally started to cry as I worked on Buddy's scrapbook I turned into a blubbering idiot. I also cried before going to sleep. I am slowly letting go finally. Harvey was a bust someone stole him from his current owner. I am still looking for one though. I kidded with mom about another cat. But to be honest I want a dog.

Have you considered looking at the Humane Society for a dog? It is a good place to at least check out.

I am happy that your feet aren't causing you as much pain. May total healing come soon.

I understand how you feel about the end of a class. I feel the same when we come to the end of a Bible study class - always thankful that my life has been spiritually enriched & looking forward to the next study; however, still there is a sense of sadness because the must current study is over.

God bless!

Sounds like working on the scrapbook was healing. What a great way to remember the good times, as well as heal from the loss. Glad to hear the foot pain is somewhat relieved, progress is always welcome. Hang in there, you're on your way.

Did you ask your doctor about running? Wondering if that would increase your foot pain right now.

I'm so sorry to hear you lost your new puppy too now. I agree you need a new best friend. Cherish those memories of your puppy that passed.
Be careful about running. It can damage your feet if you are heavy- I know it happened to me, I ran when ! was 180 and now even walking hurts.

No other pet will replace one you've lost, but they are good at consoling... and the shelter always has beautiful sad little creatures who may need consoling as much as you do...

Hold on to your memories, but don't be afraid to give life and love another chance... it will always surprise you!

I a so sorry about your loss. It is so necessary to grieve and there is not timetable or right (or wrong!) way, contrary to what you may hear form LOTS of people.

HUGS and hang in there.

Sorry about Buddy but the right furbaby will come at the right time. Give yourself time to heal and it might be easier. Hope you are able to get out and about more.

I just lost my kitty Wednesday, I totally understand how you feel. We know we'll get another, and we'd definitely like a dog at some point down the road, but we need some time first. I wrote a blog as a eulogy for her, but that's about the most I can manage so far. It's still too new and raw. As in, just writing this is killing me. Good luck for your search on a new doggy. I know your new furbaby is just waiting to find you, too.

good luck with your feet. I'm glad you're making some progress. I wish you the best of luck getting them used to being more active again!

Take care.

You will find your new friend. Glad your feet are not hurting as much. Working on a scrapbook about Buddy is a great idea. It should be very therapeutic. Just remember that buddy would not have wanted you to feel so much pain. Buddy was very lucky to have shared the time with you. I hope your day is good and the pain eases. Pam
