I don't mean to yammer or whine, but I have a really hard time figuring this out.
My work day looks like this:
4:30am get up and ready for work
5:35am drive to work
6:30am clock in, get started
5:00pm depending how we get done, clock out and drive home
6:00pm cook dinner and eat
7:00pm clean kitchen, do some housework
8:00pm take a shower and get things ready for work day, like lay out clothes, pack lunch
9:00pm go to bed
Did you notice how there is no exercise? That is because I am worn out. Most of my housework has to wait until Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, because those are my days off. I also like to do things I enjoy on those days. I do work out on my days off, but that is not making up for the rest of the week. Sometimes I sneak in a little walk on my 30min lunch break. But most of the time, I am just glad to get to sit down for 30 min, because a lot of times my lunch break gets interrupted by patients.
My eating was really good all week long, until last night. I was tired and hungry when I got home and my husband "treated" me to my guilty pleasure. A McDonald's 2 cheeseburger meal with fries and a Strawberry shake. I was tired and hungry, and ate it all before I even had a chance to think about the calories I am eating. And the cheeseburgers and fries fit in to my calories without a problem. But the milkshake put me way over. Lets face it, that is where the calories really get us. Not so much what we eat, but what we drink.
Tomorrow is my weigh in day, and I am not very optimistic about it. We will see. I think if I keep the same weight I am lucky, but if I would put money on a bet, I would say I gained.
