Calling all slowcooker fans..this is Crocktober....

Thursday, October 10, 2013

Hi one of my goals for the month is to use my crockpot more often (I stole crocktober from a magazine)

I'd love to hear from you and what are some of your favorite fall recipes for the slowcooker...

It is so handy for me to throw supper in and then help the cowboy haul bales all day and supper is ready for us.

Last night I just put round steak strips and a squirt of BBQ sauce...too bad we were out later than we thought and it kind of over cooked..but still tasty!

Today I have potato wedges, red onions, cabbage, carrots and an apple and a few sausages simmering away...the house smells yummy......................

Speaking of bales..I'm out the door again..

Thanks for dropping by and for all the kind comments and in advance for the crockpot ideas..keep on Sparkin'

I do a really simple turkey kielbasa in the crock pot. Just put cut up kielbasa, cabbage, onions, potatoes and a little chicken broth in the crock pot and cook away, 4 to 5 hrs or until cabbage is tender. You can also experiment with spices and anything else you think that might make it yummy. Enjoy.

Check out the spark recipe for Salsa's pretty good and healthy too! I can't put a link in here, but it's easy to find as it's one of the most popular spark recipes.
