Whenever I cross a certain number, like going from 290 to 289 or 269 from 270 I always feel like I've broken some new record. I've lost more weight in these past 5 months than I have in the last 5 years. Always gaining a lot and losing a little.. and repeating that pattern over and over again.
My most recent weigh in ...
Broke the 250's.... nowhere near done. I am still 103 pounds OVERweight.
Hoping to get to the local Wholefoods this weekend and try out new vegetables and fruits.. I usually see new items but always afraid to try anything outside of my normal favorites.
I am really working towards getting down to 199 before the end of the year, or at least 01/14. Man, haven't seen THAT on the scale in YEARS!!!
More and more friends are noticing my weight loss, and it feels great.
Really watching portions .. for me it really helps to have kitchen items like measuring cups (rice, cereal, pasta,etc.) as well as a food scale which I recently purchased. It trains your eyes to know whats a healthy portion.. and for those prepared meals.. I enjoy laying everything out and knowing that each container has 6-8 ounces of fish or chicken, one cup of rice...etc. As I mentioned before.. I really don't count the steamed veggies I consume. Those are my freebies.. my way seems to be working for me.
I've had some minor set backs true, lower back pain caused me to be stuck in bed for a couple days here and there... shins and feet hurting and wow... even my hips at times will hurt (when I stand or walk for long periods of time) most of that if not all is attributed to being obese. My frame was just not meant to lug around 100+ pounds and the older you get.. the harder it can be.
I see more and more definition in my physique and it feels really good.
Little by little I'm chiseling away those layers of fat....
