Are you an Overcomer?

Thursday, October 10, 2013

I listen to K-Love radio, which is a Christian music station. Every now an then a song comes on the radio that just hits home and inspires me. That song right now is "Overcomer" from Mandisa (yes from American Idol). The chorus goes like this:

"You're an overcomer
Stay in the fight ‘til the final round
You're not going under
‘Cause God is holding you right now
You might be down for a moment
Feeling like it's hopeless
That's when He reminds You
That you're an overcomer
You're an overcomer"

When I hear this song I just feel uplifted and inspired to continue on! School isn't going fantastic right now and I have been struggling with my weight. I just want to give up and be depressed, but I hear this song and I think YES! I am an overcomer! I can do this! I will not let any road blocks stand in my way! I will not let me be my own demise! I want & need to be the person I was before. The smart, fun, out going person who loves life and everything it has to offer!

So will join me? Will you become an overcomer? Find that song that inspires you. One that you listen to and get pumped up to do all things good! I challenge you because I believe in you! We can do this, TOGETHER!
