Day 6 of JF #3

I had a wonderful day! I felt strong, optimistic and full of energy. I haven't felt like that in a long time - about a year. You know, when I did my other long term juice fast? (And couple of months after that.) The weather couldn't be better - I just wanted to cancel school and go for a picnic or something. But the kids in public schools have a week off next week, so we'll likely take time off as well then. Plus my dh will likely be home, so we'll definitely have a couple of days off. See, my dh is an OTR truck driver with 11-14 days on the road, 3 days home. So when he IS home, we cancel school and do family stuff together. Just in case it's not clear - I homeschool our daughter. And I LOVE it (most days, LOL).
I did make a veggie broth from the pulp yesterday, with herbs, pepper, garlic and onion added - it was absolutely heavenly!!! It's exactly what I needed. I still have some left for today, but I know I'll make it again - it was delicious and guilt free. See, I don't "love" the juice I'm drinking, I just accept it. I mean I don't hate it (not since I stopped juicing cucumbers, my favorite veggie), but it's not hmm hmm good. I do love my special combo - apples, carrots, cinnamon, but I use that sparingly, as that is full of sugar and would inhibit weight loss. I don't like spicy foods, so I can't alter my juices that way. And most of my favorite veggies - cucumbers, ginger, red cabbage - make my juices taste terrible to me. So I'm kind of limited to the variety. Oh yeah, and I live in a middle of nowhere, so variety of produce is limited, and variety of non-rotting or non-wilting produce is even more limited. But I make it work. And adding the simple veggie broth is going to make this even better!!
I lost another 1.2lb, so I'm very happy with that, but I feel so good, it's almost not important emoticon .
So I will go on, riding this "juice fast wave" and enjoy it for all it's worth.
