I have visions of running a half-marathon. I can do 6 miles plus change now and it's taken me over a year to get there. I'm not complaining--I like to take it slow. But I think my time may be next year, and that makes me all tingly.
Here's Boogie, the wandering Labrador who slipped into a half-marathon race in Indiana:
Race officials report, "Because he did not officially enter the race, we do not have his race times. However, we are confident he set a new course record for an unassisted dog.”
According to the Associated Press, Boogie finished the course in 2 hours, 15 minutes and beat the times of 1,128 race participants.
All this despite the fact he has twice the number of legs to move and I'm pretty sure he made a few pit stops along the way!
