October Update

Wednesday, October 09, 2013

I always intend to get on Spark People more frequently, but here I am again doing a monthly update. I've finished my second round of HCG and am still in my three week volatile period after. You have to be careful and slowly add foods and quantities back into your diet. The goal here is to maintain your weight. I've been successful maintaining around 149 lbs and I've learned what to do if I start getting away from that number. I'll be maintaining my weight until January. You need a break from the drops for a while, and I don't want to start at Christmas. I'm not having any trouble sticking to healthy food. I've even started baking for my kids, and have not had trouble with wanting to sample any of it. I have plenty of testers in the house, I don't need to put this stuff in my mouth.

I've enjoyed shopping a little bit. I bought another pair of Maurice's Jeans, size 11/12. In one of their styles, I got a 9/10 on and almost fainted in the store from shock. I'm realistically more of a large 11/12 or small 13/14 now. I love trying on clothes in this size range! I'm always aware of numbers like 149 lbs or size 13/14, and that makes it easy to eat healthy. Add to that the fact that I feel great. Most days I have energy to go to work, come home, deal with all the after school stuff, go on a walk, make dinner, start some laundry, etc... You moms know what I mean. I only feel bad when I miss sleep for some reason.

Hubby and I celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary yesterday. We ate at Brother Sebastians in Omaha. YUM! I had a filet with crab, asparagus, and hollandaise. I gave Hubby my other side. I also had zucchini and a spinach salad. Except for the wine I also indulged in, I really stuck to my plan, no appetizer, no dessert. The wine sure tasted good, though. I did flush my system with lots of water when I got home. I didn't want to have the wine affect my sleep or make me feel ill in the morning. All the water must have paid off. I felt great this morning, and had a really good day.

I think I'll sign off for now. I'll try to get back for another update sooner. Keep on Sparking everyone!

That's fantastic, Chris! I missed you at work the other night! Saw your name on stuff when I got in to work and thought, DARN!, I would have loved to see you and catch up a bit.
emoticon I remember enjoying your wedding reception and my sister-in-law's 40th birthday on the same night! Double fun! Love Brother Sebastians, too. It sounds like you made some great choices with your nutrition, both at dinner out and at home.
