This week has been a wet one, but I have made the decision to get back into a daily walk wearing my Fitbit. So on Monday, I ventured out with my cell phone and an umbrella…the weather is sunny…cloudy…sunny…cloudy…so I figured I had a fairly good chance at getting in some exercise before the rain began to fall. One thing I do when I walk is to call a very close friend of mine. She has time in the morning to talk. So I talk to her and walk and time flies. It’s as though I have a walking buddy. I do not use a blue tooth, but I do have a simple ear bud contraption with a mini microphone on one ear bud. This makes the walk so pleasant not holding the phone to my ear.
I have raised the bar for my daily steps from 4,000 to 8,000 steps. (Truthfully, 4,000 was too easy for me, but 10,000 is not always obtainable, so I want to set a goal that I can conquer daily.
That first day of “plunging in” I really got wet. I was pretty far from my home and it poured with lots of wind too. I hung up, of course, and held onto my rather wimpy umbrella. I found myself smiling all the way back. I took a photo of me all wet and victorious!
