They can see me!

Wednesday, October 09, 2013

Instead of going down the more rural roads that I usually walk, today I walked busier streets. That meant more traffic, and more people seeing me go. For me, when I see someone walking as I drive along, I think, "Go you!" and mentally cheer them on. When I think of someone else seeing me walking along, I sometimes wonder what they think. Maybe I'm getting a little mental cheer! Maybe they're thinking, "you're gonna have to go faster than that, fatty!" They're probably not thinking anything at all! But imaginations tend to run wild, and for some reason I don't usually imagine positively! I'm going to work on that.

I'm still taking walks nearly every day. It's a great time to think and reflect, and just go. Today I was visualizing myself zipping up my dress as I went down the street. I started pondering how far I would have to walk before that would actually happen. Probably quite a ways! I want to start tallying up the total miles I've walked, and watch them add up.

When I see people out walking, it usually reminds me that I need to be doing the same! Keep up the great work & think positive! Who knows how many more people you're inspiring to improve their own fitness!

I always think positively about people I see walking/running/jogging when I'm driving somewhere. It motivates me to make sure I get out for a jog that day too! You are definitely inspiring people whether you know it or not!
