Fat and sugar are calling these days...

Wednesday, October 09, 2013

And, today I once again answered the call. I ate a single serving package of potato chips followed by 2.8 oz. of the chocolate chip cookies I made yesterday. I'm getting ready to serve about 450 people during fellowship hours after worship services this Sunday. Yesterday I made about 12 dozen cookies and 8 dozen Rice Krispie treats. I still have several batches of brownies and muffins to bake. Plus, will have lots of fruit and a variety of chips. I did this another time, but with a group. This is the first time to do it all on my own. So, I know this fat and sugar will continue to call my name for the next few days. I must just hang up the phone.

Wow! What a baker you are! I am learning to use protein bars or substitutes for my cravings but I do not know if I could resist your treats ;-)

Yikes. There is no way I could volunteer to bake that many treats and not indulge. You are very brave to attempt it.

Stress and the change of seasons will do that. Today will be better. HUGS!

Face the stress of "doing it on your own" instead of feeding the stress.

I know I can't trust myself on certain things. It does no good to even tempt fate. Eating phastphood is one thing I know I can't do. It turns to fat and doesn't feed my body one iota.

It is almost impossible not to eat what you are baking. Maybe you could set some limits

Wow -- that's some serious baking!!! Good for you, for keeping track of the goodies you've eaten.

And bless you for taking on such a task. I know that your congregation will enjoy every crumb!
