I am super anxious today!! And super stressed :(

I found out this morning that my trip to Alabama next week is still on despite the government shut down, so I will be away next week. I have had mixed feelings because I know its good for my career to go and teach these small classes - I just dont really want to travel. I think I got my travel arrangements taken care of this morning. Usually you can get the govt to pay for a rental car because its cheaper to fly to Atlanta and then drive 2 hours to Montgomery; but the contracted flight prices changed and it is now no longer cheaper to do that. And rental cars arent authorized if you fly directly to Montgomery. I priced them though and rental cars arent too expensive for the week, so I might pay out of my own pocket for one. I hate going there without a rental car because then you are effectively stuck there and cant get food, etc. I like to stop at the grocery store and buy breakfast food and snacks for the week, and be able to go places for dinner! We shall see what I decide to do.

I got my leave request approved for this Friday, so I am still getting my 3-day weekend even though I have to travel on Monday. But it's stressing me out because I have to get a bunch of stuff done before I leave next week, and I took the day off so I could get stuff at home done. Which means I only have today and tomorrow to get work stuff done... I just gave my paralegal some stuff to do for me - hopefully that keeps her busy, too. I am going to be out of the office this afternoon for a doctor's appointment, and tomorrow I already have two meetings scheduled in the late afternoon. I just have to relax and take a breather...

My GI appointment is finally today. I am so worried that the doctor wont take me seriously because that is how I feel all of my healthcare has been recently. I decided to make a list of all of my stomach problems to take with me so that I dont forget to say something. Hope it goes well...

I also made a list of all of the things I want to get done at home this weekend. It's quite ambitious, but I am hopeful I can get most of it done. And I know I will feel better if I do, and then I come back after my trip to a clean, well-organized house.

Last night in my hip hop class, my teacher told us that she is thinking of using Justin Timberlake's "Suit and Tie" song as our recital dance. I am not a huge fan of the song, but I like her concept. I kind of hope she changes the song, though. ;) There is a tap class on Tuesday nights before my hip hop class that I thought was for teenagers, but one of the ladies in my jazz class is in the tap class also, and she is older than me. So now I am thinking I might sign up for the tap class, too. You know, with all of the free time I have in my life!

Ok, that is it for me. I will keep you updated on how my doctor's appointment goes!

When you're busy, it's difficult to get in trouble. So, stay busy and hang tough!!

Happy travels! I would be lost without a car while traveling. I am way to used to hopping in the car and going wherever I want.

    Good luck with the Doc!

I do know how you feel traveling....I always get a stress attack before I go as there seem so much to do before hand. I've taken to carrying an extra bag with food when I travel as I can't always get to a store once there. I carry fruit, home-made protein bars (so I don't have to eat hotel breakfasts), fiber bars and other healthy snacks, etc.

That and my laptop case get carried on board the airplane, and the other bag gets checked. The guys always laugh at me cause of my food bag, but they're jealous too as I'm getting back to a healthy weight and they can mostly stand to lose some, LOL! So I just keep doing it.

You figure out what works for you and don't let anyone deter you! emoticon
