Today is my weigh in day and I weigh 1.5 lbs less today than I did one week ago. It's 1/2 lb more than my goal of losing 2 lbs per week but I WILL TAKE IT!!!
As a habitual "dieter" and one who expects to lose 5 lbs per week thanks to my "memory" of being able to easily lose weight when I was in my early twenties, it is a big deal for me to recognize this as a mini victory for several reasons. This past week, I have successfully tracked EVERYTHING that I ate! I have also stayed away from wheat products (still undergoing my 30 day challenge to be wheat free). Although, I continued to get on the scale daily and see the numbers go from 169 to 168 to 168.6 to 166...back up to 167.5...I didn't drive myself crazy (well....not "completely" crazy). I understand that healthy weight loss is 1-2 lbs per week and that is weight loss that will stick. I also know that as long as I continue to monitor my caloric intake and make healthy choices, I am on the right track.
