Thought and Prayer for Wednesday, October 9, 2013

Wednesday, October 09, 2013

There are times when something great happens beyond our explanation. We have windfalls where a difficult situation suddenly goes away. It could be a financial windfall where unexpected money comes our way. It could be a health windfall where our health remarkably improves. It could be a relationship windfall where someone who we have been struggling with changes their mind or attitude. When we have these windfalls of grace, we should thank God and ask Him how to best use them to better serve Him and allow Him to help us gain a deeper understanding of who He truly is.

2 Peter 1:2 “May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, thank You. Thank You for Your windfalls of grace. Help us to learn from these windfalls and gain a deeper understand of who You truly are. We sometimes receive these windfalls and don’t even realize it. We sometimes look over them and don’t even know they are there. Help us to use Your windfalls of grace that You bless us with to help others and to share Your wonderfulness with them. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

God has the ability to help us in all situations.

When we go to God in all situations, He will give us a deeper understand of who He truly is.

If we want to truly know God and His grace, we must spend time with Him.

God’s grace can allow things to happen that are beyond our control.

God allows windfalls of grace to all His people who truly love and obey Him.

Deuteronomy 11:1 “You must love the Lord your God and obey all his requirements, decrees, regulations, and commands.” (NLT)
