I am on day 5 of my 6 days off, my unoffical "Fall Break." I SO needed this time off. I feel like I've been able to plug back in to my life. I've spent much needed time with my husband and son. I've cleaned the bathtub, helped clean out our shed, visited two farmers' markets, dug out and planted two new flower beds in the front yard. It helps that the weather here has been AWESOME - sunny and fall-like.
My normal days with work feel like such a blur sometimes. Since my husband and I work opposite schedules we don't get much time together. I decided that I'd take a couple of days off every month just to BE. I am lucky that my job allows me time off, and that someone can cover for me.
Fitness wise I've been doing well - I really do think I'm going to make my 500 Monthly Fitness Minutes goal this month! I've not been able to keep my calories within range, though, since I've been home. It's much easier to keep it in check when I'm at work.
I'm getting there, though - mentally I feel like I get stronger all the time. I know what I need to do: MOVE my body, feed it real food, not buy junk! If it's not in the house I can't eat it! FEEL my feelings, don't EAT them.
