Diary of a Fluffy Chick....The Birthday Suit

Tuesday, October 08, 2013

I did something that I have not done in a very long time.... After I took a nice hot bath and shaved these hairy legs, I got out and instead of completely drying off, I went into my bedroom, shut and locked the door and in the dark, with the ceiling fan running, and the box fan running on high, I laid in my bed with nothing on but my "Birthday Suit" and a smile!!! emoticon And you know what?! It was wonderful!!!!!! Lying under that fan blowing that cool breeze over me, letting all my fluffiness air dry was amazing! If you have never tried it, please do!! What was even more awesome, I was completely alone, with no one there to expect anything from me, and I could just lay there in private and soak in the moment.... I actually just concentrated on me, and feeling that cool air whisper over my crazy mental pause body (and no I did not misspell this), you know the one, where one minute your cold and the next burning hot, and you feel like you are going insane... You see life for me has been NUTS!!! I have been Home Schooling my son since last January, and thank goodness our school year is almost over.... It has been the biggest challenge and at times a joy, and other times a pain in the ASS!!! I have a child who is lazy and very NOT interested in anything except his computer and his computer friends, and I have had the constant battle of keeping one step ahead of him, and constantly trying to beat him at his game of trying to get out of school work... Mentally I am exhausted!!! Then last March my sweet Godson at age 7 was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, so as his "Nana" I have been given the job of being his caregiver while his Mom and Dad work. So I have to drive 20 minutes from my house daily to go and get him from school and then keep him until his parents get home, and over summer break, I kept him all day... So I have been dealing with a teenager and little guy non-stop.... Now don't get me wrong I love them both to death, but this gal has already raised 4 other children. They were my Hubby's 3 daughters from his previous marriage, and their mother... Yes I counted the ex as one the kids because trust me she acted like one the whole 10 years that we raised them, and trust me dealing with her was the worst... Even to this day she still hates me, and recently on FB called me a Devil Bitch, that she could not for me to DIE!!! Oh my, my Hubby and I have been married almost 18 years and she still hates me... Unreal... I wish I could say that it does not matter, but it does.... ANYWAY, back to my "Birthday Suit"... Another nice thing about that experience, is that I did NOT have my hubby automatically attacking me.... Why is that if a wife comes into a room ready to just relax, the man thinks, "oh goody" now it is time for the wife, mother, housekeeper, etc etc, to now take care of all my needs?! Do you know how I did it?! Well, 1 week ago, I moved his butt into the bedroom that my son had, and the son is now sleeping in a room downstairs... So we all now have our own bedrooms!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!! Now I know that there are going to be some naysayers out there that won't like the idea of a husband and wife sleeping separate, but I don't care what they think... Right now it is what I need..... This lady is just plain tired and just wants to rest.. We will still have conjugal visits, but I need my space and my time..... I have been taking care of everyone else for so long, I need some time to myself laying naked under my ceiling fan, and I liked it so much, I am going to make it a regular thing.....

Till the next time my friends!!! Keep Sparkling!! HUGS! Shannon

"kudos" is exactly what i was going to say, then saw someone beat me to it. emoticon
we have a 2 bedroom, the 1 1/2 y/o sleeps in one all the time, the almost 3 y/o goes between that room and mine, and my husband usually sleeps in his chair: his snoring is better treated there, plus the 3 y/o is all over his side. emoticon
simple pleasures, momma. simple pleasures.

So glad you are taking care of you! I have had the same experience this past summer, it's time for me, I haven't moved the hubs out yet but I've thought about it emoticon
