I know there is a saying about failing to plan is the same as planning to fail, or something like that.
So, since I am vacationing soon, I need to plan. We will be in 4 different hotels, and I only know that 2 have refrigerators and microwave. Yes, I need to eat healthy from the standpoint of calories, but I also have to eat gluten free. My intention is to carry cereal that is gluten free. I figure every place will be, there will be grocery stores for fresh fruit, and small containers of milk.
Lunch can also be fruit or vegetable based. In the places with a fridge, rotisserie chicken is an option for a couple meals. If I get a couple mayo packets, tuna salad can work, or even lean meat chunks or low fat cheese sticks.
From home, I am taking peanut butter packets, almonds, and my sealed individual packets of ranch dressing to use when I can find salad, or dip for crudités.
This leaves one meal daily to consider restaurant meals. Wendy's chili is a good fall back. But, even if I have to, I can order minimally, (Hard boiled eggs, then head for a grocery store for the evening meal too.
Bottom line.....I am going to the Ocean, and I am a happy camper! Even better, no camper...Hotels.
