Okay, I'm here.

I know that I haven't been blogging on a regular basis, but I'm still here.

It's been a busy summer, a interesting start of school and DD2 went to a birthday party, jumped on a trampoline and broke her toe. She was jumping on it with another girl and that is a no no. Never, jump on a trampoline with another person.

Needless to say.

A Mother's job is never done. No breaks, no stop of worrying and no way to plan ahead, 'cause as soon as you think things are going like a well oiled machine....BHAM!


I have good news though. My blood levels are getting back to the norm. Not quite there yet, but a what a difference it makes. I can go up and down the stairs and NOT be winded. I can walk around and NOT be dizzy. I'm awake more and I realize that the past year that I have been watching movies with my family...I really don't remember what happened in them. That's saying something too. I usually have a really, really good memory.

This morning, I weighed myself and GASP, I almost gained everything back that I had lost last year. Not surprising, but I had to change my diet in a big way.

So, I am contemplating as to what to do next.

I'm thinking baby steps. I know I'm out of shape big time. This morning, I cut loose with the soundtrack Footloose. (The 1984 version). I only danced to two songs and then cooled down on the third song. I just knew I didn't have it in me to do more. Then I did the core exercise on Spark while sitting on a chair. I'm feeling it right now. There are muscles that are saying to me "Whoa! What are you doing to me girl? Stop it right now! AWWWWWW COME ON. NO MORE."

Anyhow. I'm trying.

How are my buddies doing? I haven't seen many blogs from any of you people either. Are you still here with me? I could really use your encouragement.

    So sorry to hear about your daughter. It's always something, isn't it? I had a friend who was jumping on the trampoline with her 1-year old son, and he broke his whole leg when he hit the bounce on the rebound. Every try keeping a 1-year old from walking on a broken leg? emoticon

    Glad your bloodwork is showing improvement. And glad you exercised. The first step is the hardest. Now you are officially back on track! (love that album, BTW...)

    Hey, you ARE moving, and that's great! And thank God you didn't whip out an old MC Hammer track and some poofy pants to slide around the kitchen in (Can't touch this!!!). Ok wait, that would have been waaaaay more entertaining than Footloose. Scratch my earlier comment!

    I'm right where you are at doll: heavy, unhappy about it, and limited with mobility. But we stilllll try every day. Some days you get to dance more, and others you just have to chair dance until you get better. Fun music is a must though, no matter if your entire body is wiggling or just part of it, right?
    Woah, weird visual there, eh? : ))))

    But in all things, be silly!

    As you know life has a habit of getting in the way! Things are the same around here. Summer was busy with my son home but things are getting back to normal now that he's back at school. I just recently have gotten back on track. I'm sick of the back and forth and am trying to get the weight off without it finding me again. (maybe a change of address! :)) We can and will do this!! emoticon emoticon emoticon
