Shook the snooze twice this morning, though I did open my eyes after the second time, got the ipod out and went through my routine. Cut it short since I'd gone through a snooze. Had a heck of a time getting my brain to wake up. Had a good breakfast, did my 10 minute "walk to work" - but my brain did NOT to wake up, even 2 hours after my body was.
Tried to find some ideas online.. and one pointed out the obvious - music. So, I updated itunes (I think I like their new RAdio Genius program, surprisingly), and as I programmed, my mind slowly woke up. When it was time for my morning cardio, I felt a bit better.
Then I got on the elliptical and went UGH. Back to the sleepy mind. But, put on Bones and started moving.
Yeah.. didn't feel any better. Actually felt worse. Slight headache. Tense back. No energy. All I could think about was how I could find energy... I tried fast, I tried slow. Kept thinking about my hamstring (which still bothers me some). So I said - ok, do 30 minutes, then you can quick.
So I did 30 minutes on the elliptical and finished walking (slowly, damn hamstring) on the treadmill. I wanted to finish watching Bones. And I didn't feel too bad walking. I think the earlier exertion was too much.. I dont' know why. Had my breakfast and snack, so I think I'm just tired.
As I write this - my brain is tired. My eyes are heavy. *yawn* Gonna jump in the shower - that helps sometimes, sit on my massage pad (might help the head) then back to work.
Later tonite - ST Legs. Also, have the rest of my green peppers to process. I'll slice and freeze most of them, but will cook some up with onions (and zukes if any are still good). Found that we enjoy having that veggie mix on hand.
