After starting the South Beach Diet with my fiance, (Plus everything is gluten-free) on Sunday it has been interesting. He has never dieted before and I am on the neverending revolving door of diets it has made me assess our individual cravings.
I really crave sweets. My day dreams are filled with dancing cupcakes, chocolate, doughnuts all on a fluffy white cloud and rainbow backdrop. Haha.
He craves gross fast food . All he wants is a double something cheese burger and fries. He is also craving bread. It may because I have been gluten free for so long I don't crave bread.. In fact I would be happy with a stick of dark choclate.
I wonder why we have these different cravings. I have read before on the blood type diet or body type diets it is due to underactive organs. I believe I read the "liver type" craves fatty foods. And either the adrenal or thyroid type craves sugar. I really can't remember which anymore. And for me, the symtoms seem to go hand in hand, so it is difficult to say.
I just wonder if knowing what we crave most could potentially lead to why we over eat or maybe the best way to lose weight.
Just some thoughts.
