Made it to Pennsylvania

Tuesday, October 08, 2013

Got held up in Chicago for an extra hour and a half but then on to Philadelphia. Now in West Chester where I grew up and where the grandkids are. They waited up for us and it was so fun seeing them. they came running out jumping up and down and saying how excited they were. Really cute. I am planning lots of activities for us for the next three weeks. I want to make a Halloween tree and make ornament with them for it.

Just a bit jet lagged today but will get out for a walk.

very weird as I put 3 pounds on from my travel day. up from 106 to 109. weird. I ate within my calories but too much cheese and salt. I feel bloated as I don't usually eat stuff like that.....so will be happy to get back to normal and eating right.

Hope you all are doing great and having a great week.
Cheers!
Sallie

I have no doubt, you'll resolve the slight weight flux, Sallie! Enjoy!

D & I actually spent time last night, in a fleeting moment, about the possibilities of relocating in your direction! Obviously, our Granddaughter would have a major issue with it all, make a definitive statement, and determine this is NOT an option.

Isn't there an air safety law that states one must never step on a scale within 24 hours of a long flight??

What fun you will have this Halloween!

Welcome to PA - not far from where I live in MD. Eating cheese and not drinking a lot of water is probably the problem. That will change in a few days!

The salt and lack of hydration will get you every time -the tiny little cup of water they offer you is next to useless! The dry recycled cabin air isn't good for you either :(
Hope you recover quickly and can really enjoy those grandkids! How sweet they waited up to greet you :)) Halloween will be so much fun when you get to spend it with children! Look forward to seeing your creations!!
Enjoy your visit!

Your sparkpals are right- it's more about the airplane travel, pressurized cabin, sitting too much, etc. that often causes fluid retention.
It'll disappear.
Have fun with the kidlets.

Sitting so much on plane, airport, etc. you probably retained quite a bit of fluid. I know when I travel I always do. Glad you made the trip safely. Enjoy the grandchildren and Halloween. Look forward to seeing the pictures.

Happy to hear you had a safe trip. Bloat will be gone before you know it. Also probably has to do with less sleep! I tend to bloat up even without extras on less sleep. You will feel back to your normal skinny self after a good night rest! Enjoy the family time emoticon

Have fun!!! Glad you made it to PA safe and sound.

Salty foods PLUS the air travel (the cabin pressure causes water retention too -- big time!)

HUGS

Travel bloat :( It will come off over the next few days as you can drink more and eat better.
