My kids are my motivation to be healthy and work hard. It shows when my ds loves to workout with me. My dd2 tries to do yoga with me or just watches. Even more touching when my dd1 (a 5th grader writes about me) to share with the class.
There is her essay as she wrote it: (BTW she got a 92%)
I know someone who prepared for a big event. My mom prepared for a marathon, and it was on the fourth of July. She needed to prepare in just a few days.
First, she needed to find the right type of clothes. She searched high and low for the right clothes. Then she found them. She found a pink shirt and black running shorts. "They are a perfect fit," she said.
Next, she must prepare for the run. When she prepares she run on the treadmill. She runs faster and faster, then she slows down. When my mom is tired she stops and stretches. "I love running", she said tiredly.
On the day before the race my mom runs for less time than she did the last few days. her feet are sore and she needs to relax. My mom eats healthy food. The she goes to bed early. "What will the race be like?" she wonders.
O the day of the race she eats a good breakfast. It's five in the morning and time to leave. When my mom arrived she got in her spot. "Ready, Set, Go!" someone yelled. Everyone took off like rockets. A few minuets later my mom crossed the finish line. She received her medal and went home. This was an event that mom my did, that I will never forget.
I just wanted to cry. I know she has some grammar issues to fix, but she is proud of her grade and well I am going to keep this and add it to my scrapbook ( will start some day). Her facts are a little mixed up, but it is all good. I wish the race was a medal race, but just knowing how proud she is of me is all I need.
Thank you for reading my REAL motivation on this journey.
