It feels SO good to finish. I'm knocking on wood that I've never had to drop out of a race but last year's 1st half I came pretty close, had to walk the last 4 miles. You're inspiring me to post a pic from a 10K I just ran on Sept 2013. Definitely not a great pace, at least not the second 5K, but I was so happy when I crossed the line because I made the "I'm gonna run the whole thing" promise to myself and I actually kept it. So many times later in the race I wanted to walk but somehow I knew if I did then the wheels would really fall off. Did I mention besides walking and biking I did almost no running, especially not distance (sore foot). My body's been clear with me: it does not like running in the 190s Glad you rediscovered that lost spark and hoping you're feeling better by the next one.
