I wake with the best intentions. I was going to walk first thing, but my head cold said, not yet. So, I cleaned my fridge, and according to my tracker, I pretty much stood in the same place for the whole project.
Moving right along, I did a 10 minute video with Nicole. (My butt must really be getting great, but I never see it.) Anyway, she really gives you a strong workout in 10 minutes.
Then I dragged my gorgeous (?) butt out to the clean fridge to assemble stuff into health foods for supper. I made salad with tricolor pasta, fresh cucumber and tomato in a Marzetti light dressing with dill and mustard. (More veggies than pasta.) Basically 'crisper drawer' salad. If I had other stuff in the drawer, it would have gone in peppers, celery, onion. I intended to sauté shrimp for supper as the meal's main protein....otherwise it may have gone in the salad, or leftover ham.
So, 2 PM, and still no walk. I headed for a market to walk the perimeter of their parking area. Too cold and windy, so still no walk, but I bought apples, squash and melon. When I arrived home, I got out a hat, gloves and quilted vest. I WILL WALK!! Last my neighbor so she would not let me quit. Finally, 8 hours after my intended walk, I actually set out, then accomplished it. And then, 20+ minutes on my bike.
The point of all this is that before Sparks, I would have allowed any point along the way to derail me. I hate breaking a 'streak' of anything. I am even getting my 8 glasses of water. That is the biggest challenge for me.
