Despite some home made fudge my friend and I made, I am feeling a lot better about myself.
I've been having a bowl of soup every day. I added sourkraut into the bowl today- tastes so good! The broth isn't quite as good as I would have liked because I cooked the bones a few more times than I should have
I finished making my second batch of yogurt yesterday. I tipped it upside down with cheese cloth placed in the lid (canning jars) and then this morning I strained the liquid out so that its a little thicker. I think if I would have let it sit like that longer it would have been more like greek yogurt. I have almost 3 quarts worth (started with 3 but after draining the liquid its a bit less) of yogurt- that shoulf last me for awhile. I think I'll be eating about a cup per day....guess I better check how long it keeps for.
I have enough juice for a few days and then I'll have to start making it again.
I just found a recipe for fruit leather, so I am really excited to make that when I get the ingredients.
I also found a recipe for brown rice flour. I'm not sure what I would use brown rice flour for yet, but I am interested in making it. One of the main reasons I had not switched to an alternate flour back when I was doing this before was because of the cost. I may be able to do it now. Just need to get a few recipes together to see if it will be worth it.
I've got a lot of stuff rolling around in my head!
