emoticon I am taking on Corporate America this week. emoticon The Deceptive Trade Practices Act is a good starting point if you have a consumer issue.

If you are in Texas call the Texas State Attorney General's office and make your complaint online. They will give you the number to the Texas State Bar and for $20 you can get a 30 minute appointment with a lawyer. Hold on, let me give you the number. 1-800-252-9690

Find out where the corporate office is for the company you are complaining about contact their State Attorney General as well and make an official complaint. The company I am having trouble with has their offices in Phoenix Arizona. Arizona is sending me out a formal
complaint form.

I am having two issues one is with the car dealership where I leased my car and with a major bank who has not given me credit for my mortgage payments in three years.

A good place to write a review is at

www.consumeraffairs.com I have had over a few hundred people click on my review of this car dealership and several have found it to be helpful. Do not use the words ripped off, scammed, crooks, thieves, none of that or the company can come back at you for libel. You will feel better and have done your part in protecting others and yourself.

If it has to do with your home mortgage The Comptroller of the Currency is great. You can also go to www.consumerfinance.gov

Also do not forget to contact your local TV Station. A TV Station was very interested in my story and is checking out my complaint. Even if they don't run with it, they will check it out for you.
