Made it to 50 pounds-yeah

Monday, October 07, 2013

Well, I finally hit the 50 pound mark and I am down 2 sizes. I have less than 100 pounds to go now 95 to be exact. It just seems to be going so slow it took me 13 months to lose that much but they say you keep it off when you lose it slowly. i have been counting calories and doing lo-carb at times. Take yesterday for instance I had to have a bowl of cereal and I haven't had it in months Needless to say it made me very ill and I had bloating and diarrhea and felt awful for several hours with severe stomach cramps and ya know it was way too sweet for me I never thought I would say that in my lifetime but it was.I felt fine once it was out of my system. I used to crave sweet things and now they just don't seem to agree with me anymore which is nice.I am doing ok with my exercise I am up to 5 mins on my elliptical trainer and when I first got it I could only do 2 mins at a time so I think that's really good for me. I got the new tracker from sparkpeople and its great I just love it so if your thinking about weather to get it or not you should its not that expensive and its a good step tracker. well everything is going great with my blood sugar since I am off the injections it's been staying within normal range or just a tad high but nothing to worry about. Hope everyone has a great week and God bless you for he has blessed me.

You're more than 1/3 way there!! emoticon Sorry about the cereal, maybe my body needs to start reacting like that so that I can say no to sweets and the sad thing is I fear that even if it did react like that I would still eat them (I NEED HELP I know). emoticon on more than doubling your elliptical stamina and I'm happy the Sparktracker is working well for you. emoticon emoticon

WOW!!!! What an awesome job!!! You are doing so great and you're an inspiration.

We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us, right?!!!

13 months may seem like a long time but in reality it's a blink of time. Every year older I grow time just hurls by faster and I realize a year isn't much time at all in the big scheme of things. You have made such great progress. Just keep taking it one day at a time and keep trusting in Jesus to make every step right beside you.

Have a glorious and blessed day.
Tammy

Yes, I know from experience that it is easier to keep off the pounds if you lose them more slowly. I've done it both ways. Good Luck to you on your journey!

I enjoyed your blogs, you make us aware of what to pray for and by being honest you are encouraging to me. I want it come off fast but I can see that slow and steady wins the race!!

I'VE LOST OVER 80 POUNDS NOW AND THE FIRST 40 TOOK ABOUT 10 YEARS, BUT THEN AS I EDUCATED MYSELF ON HEALTHY EATING AND HEALTHY LIVING, THE WEIGHT CAME OFF MORE QUICKLY. SLOW IS BETTER, UNLESS YOUR IN A CONTEST! WHAT HELPS YOU KEEP IT OFF IS FAITH IN GOD AND LEARNING THE LESSONS ALONG THE WAY. THERE ARE SOME GREAT DVDs YOU CAN WATCH FOR ENCOURAGEMENT WHEN YOU NEED IT.(FORKS OVER KNIVES, FOR ONE). emoticon KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK emoticon

You know what is so funny? We see ourselves losing weight but it's never what we expect it to be. I look at "my self" at a weight I so desired but still felt I needed to do workout & eat less. The journey is about getting to really know yourself and be able to say "no" to yourself. That's pretty big because "my self" can be very demanding....

God bless & congrats!!!!

Congratulations on your weight loss. Sorry about the cereal - that's what it would do to me, so I can relate. And good for you for keeping your blood sugar low and stable. Control is so important for us diabetics.

Your weight loss will happen - slow and steady is a good thing!

WHOOHOO! Congratulations on a major accomplishment! Also, you have more than doubled your time on the elliptical - Awesome! It took me 9 months to lose 28 pounds, but now those healthy patterns that I have been practicing for so long have become comfortable habits. You are doing it the right way, keep up the good work! emoticon

WOW, GREAT ACCOMPLISHMENT! I can identify with the issues you had after the cereal. I've worked so hard at eating healthy for so long that when I overdo it, I feel sick for three days, just as you said!

I love my elliptical.Keep going, that is great progress!

Slow and steady, steady and slow, that's the way we always go! I got that from a Disney book I used to read my daughter when she was little.

emoticon on the weight lose, sometimes it is easier to take it slow instead of trying to lose too fast. Glad to here that your blood sugar is staying good now since your off the injections. I know my brother was having issues on the injections keeping his sugar within range until he got off them. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
