Not the weekend i wanted

Monday, October 07, 2013

The weekend didn't go too well, it was my own fault though. Friday night started off as fun, no kids all weekend woohoo. Me and my hubby got to spend some time together and i only had a few beers. So we decided to go to my brothers to visit.
Well those 3 beers ended up as 8 or 9 beers. Then the hubby and i started to disagree on something. So we went home and got into a huge argument. (and i think i had a couple more beers when we got home) So he wasn't too happy with me all weekend. (i was totally out of line, and venting while drunk is never a good idea)
I was supposed to go to a housewarming party on Saturday but i was so hung over i missed out. In fact i really didn't do much at all Saturday, too hungover.
Sunday we drove to the store to do our Sunday grocery shopping, and on our way back the car was acting up and making a weird sound.....again. The straps on my muffler came off, so every little bump i hit, my muffler was bouncing off the street. My car is slowly falling apart, but my hubby fixed it....for now. Hopefully it last me through winter.
Lately i have been pretty good about limiting my drinks, but every once in a while, i say "screw it, what's one more drink" but one more turns into a lot more. Something i really need to work on.
Well here's to a new week...

I know I've had times like those. Not fun! It's like my rationality switch gets turned off and I don't even know it - I THINK I'm making sense at the time. A very dangerous game, especially for relationships. I wish you better times up ahead. We cannot change the past, only influence the future.

Oh, how I know that feeling...

Try to remember how you felt Saturday morning when you missed the housewarming, and use that the next time you reach for the 5th or 6th.

    Hope you feel better!
