Weigh in Day.

Monday, October 07, 2013

I spent the last week suffering from sinus congestion and what I suspect was bronchitis (it's still lingering). It pretty much wiped me out, energy wise. Not to mention, I slept very little because I would cough myself awake all night.

But I was determined to get some sort of workout in on my decent days. So 3 days last week, I walked 1.25 miles out in the fresh air. 2 of those days I about died because I couldn't breathe, but I pushed through. I also rode my recumbent bike one night that I was feeling up to it. So, not a lot on the exercise front, but a commendable effort, considering.

My diet on the otherhand, I could control even while wiped out. I tried juicing on Monday, Wednesday and Sunday (just for breakfast and lunch). I am surprised how much I enjoy that. I am not a big fruit and veggie eater, so this was a GREAT way to incorporate those into my diet. And it was pretty tasty too. I ate portion controlled dinners on those days as well. On the other days, I just ate smart. I did splurge on dinner Friday night as a cheat meal.

And the scale definitely showed me some love today!

Last Monday when I began again (for the final time I hope!) I weighed in at 162 (the heaviest I have been not pregnancy/post pregnancy related). Today I weighed in at 157.8! (lost about 1/2 inch off my total measurements as well) emoticon emoticon emoticon

For spending most of the week on the couch and not feeling well, I think this is AMAZING! I can't wait to see how it goes now that I am feeling a bit better and can get some more exercise in! I will probably juice again a couple days this week, once I get some more produce from the store!
