Why Am I Having Such a Hard Time?

Monday, October 07, 2013

I have been struggling all summer and now I have gained 10 pounds. I tell myself that I am not going back up but I find myself obsessing about food. I have got out of the exercising habit as I have plantar fasitis. I do bike ride but that will soon come to an end when the weather turns. So I am going to start focusing on weight training. My son is attending college and his weight lifting bench is just sitting there all alone. I also can start doing more floor exercises like pushups and anything that does not hurt my foot. I also will do more blogging and journal daily. I feel better already.

I had the same problem minus the health issue. I gained about 50 over 2 years while I obsessed and kept doing all the wrong thinks. Got back to weighing and measuring and staying away from the sweet aisles in the store. You are taking the right steps. Good luck. emoticon

I have various injuries from a serious accident and I love the weights.I find I can drop more pounds since I started doing the weights. I don't even lift heavy weights as I have a spinal injury but 10 pound weights have built up the muscles in my arms and made a real difference.

When I had plantar fasciitis, I decided to try a spinning class, which I had previously thought I would hate. I ended up totally loving it and dropping about 10 pounds in the first 5 weeks or so.

The weight lifting and push ups are a great idea as well. emoticon

Trying to exercise with plantar fasciitis must be difficult. Have you tried deep-water exercising in a pool? There is no impact, so it is great for people with various foot/knee/hip/back problems.
