So I planned my Thanksgiving dinner (honestly I am making a couple extra things so I can eat healthy) I actually like my ideas better than what everyone else is eating. Hubby will probably eat some of my food. I got under 1400 calories! For a holiday. I was under my high end fat and under my high end carbs! Yippee. That's with a lovely dessert too. I have never been a pumpkin pie person so I won't miss it. Instead I will be having a baked apple sweetened with xylitol (my treat sweetener) and cinnamon then baked, After baking I will have a scoop of butter pecan ice cream (sugar free) and a tablespoon of sugar free caramel sauce doesn't that sound better than store bought pumpkin pie?
For dinner I will be having 4 ounces of breast meat turkey with no skin, 3/4 cup of my mild rice pilaf, and 1 cup of green beans with 1 TBS real bacon bits. Oh and 1/4 cup turkey gravy! I love this planning ahead. This meal will be awesome!
