So...after my run, and church and raking and errands today, I was vegging out with some tv. We ended up flipping to ABC's Extreme Weightloss. This show made me SO, SO angry!! This episode had a girl who started around 400 pounds, her ultimate goal was 150. Her "trainer" set a goal of 80 pounds for the first 90 days. Okay...a lot, but he worked with her one on one for the second half. She had a full gym in her basement and a pool in her backyard and took up running. (Great, I love running!) Since she met her first goal (she lost 84 pounds), her second goal for the next 90 days was to lose another 50...AND train for a marathon (never mind that most elites take longer than 9 weeks to train, never mind someone who has only been running for 2-3 months and still weights over 200 pounds.)! Then, when she hadn't met her goal for the second 3 months (she "only" lost 35), her "trainer" gave her $hit for it. She was training for a marathon! During her marathon training, she had heart issues and suffered a torn meniscus. (OUCH!) No mention of the fact that her weight loss was well within normal range for most people, no props for still attempting a marathon with an injury. Grrr!!! I actually turned the channel, so I don't know if she finished the race or not. It just makes me so mad that people watch this "entertainment" and think it's realistic.
Today was good...I met my goals and have some calories left over for a snack at choir. Finishing my water shouldn't be a problem since I drink plenty there. It's going to be a busy week, but I'm on a roll and can't quit now!
Goals for tomorrow:
-64+ oz water
-30-45 minutes kickboxing and/or cardio +skinny jeans workout
-eat consciously and track food
-set daily goals and Spark
-in bed by 10:00
