Extra time?

Spark coach has me re-evaluating my life, to see what I would do if I found an extra hour. I've contemplated this before, and have a potential schedule that allows me to get it all accomplished, and met my goals. The problem is that I sabatage myself. First, I don't wake up at 6am, refusing to get out of bed to make the kids breakfast, start laundry and spark. I crawl out of bed at the last minute and take the kid to school. Second, I skip the gym and go back to bed, rushing to get to work on time an hour later. There's my extra hour. If I can get up at 6, make the bed, I would have time to spark, go to the gym, keep laundry going, and get to work on time. That's my goal for the week.

    One thing to remember is that you *do* need sufficient sleep, so unless you are currently sleeping too much (that seems unlikely) you'll probably have to go to bed earlier.
Have you had your thyroid checked? There are lots of physical things that can make folks tired.

    I like em_justme suggestion of getting use to waking up at 6 a.m. by doing it in 10 min. increases until you are use to it, that might make it easier to do.

    You can do it!! Try getting up 10 minutes earlier for a few days then 10 minutes earlier than that, etc until you hit your 60 if doing it all at once is too much. I say that because I couldn't do it! I enjoy my in bed time too much and am not a morning person!

    emoticon Get to bed early enough to get the right amount of sleep for your body, like SKIRNIR points out, and then just get used to staying up instead of crawling back into the bed. Listen to your body!

    Make sure you get enough sleep and maybe that would help with the 6 AM wake up. IE I try to get up at 6 AM with my hubby and do stay up at that point, but I find as the week goes on, I get more and more tired. Why? Because I can't seem to go to bed before 10 PM at night and often go to bed after and I have always been one of those people who need 8 hours of sleep a night. I am tending to get around 7 to 7.5 hours only with the 6 AM wakeups. I think it also makes me more susceptible to sickness and more susceptible to falling for calorie temptations.
