I frequently mention the lake in posts to the BLC Panthers, so I thought I'd share some updated photos.
Yesterday was a perfect, early fall day with temps more like early September in NC -- 85 degrees. The last two weeks have been chilly, but the top layer of water was warm enough for a great swim to shore from our sailboat. (Gotta get those weekend challenge fitness points, you know!)
The first photo below was taken as we headed back to our marina home. It was a beautiful end to a fun day. This morning, DH and I got up early and scrubbed down the boat before the water is turned off for the winter, and then hopped on our bikes for a 15 mile round-trip ride to Hibernia State Park on the NC side of the NC/Va border. (Kerr Lake)
Have a great Sunday, Spark Friends! The wind is up and we're heading out for a sail!
