Dear Spark Family and Visitors,
I am happy to give you my latest health victories.
Yesterday, I had my cast removed, and all is well! I start physical therapy soon and have been given the all-clear to walk as soon as my treacherously painful ankle allows it, which won't be today. It's O.K., I am soufully patient.
Secondly, yesterday, I got the third biopsy on the cancerous mole removal on my arm and the second biopsies on other areas of concern, and I got the all-clear! Yay! Of course, I was put out when the doctor said, "Good, we caught it on time. It would have killed you." Talk about being blunt.
Unfortunately, I have to wait to exercise another week because they just removed the staples and stitches, but I am so happy! Why??????
Because I'm about to take my first shower!!!! Woooo! I may be sitting down, but I am showering without any trash bags around body parts. And what is even better, my wonderful husband got me some red shampoo and conditioner so that my hair will look fabulous today. (I know, I owe you pictures.)
These are all blessings, and I am so grateful.
You will also be happy to note, that even though I've been sitting on my bum in the wheel chair for what seems like an eternity, I weigh 165 pounds max, which is not awful, and I have been maintaining my whole foods eating (with an occasional wine glass). My eating is spectacular.
So, all is well with me. I hope you are all doing great with your healthy habits.
(I'm sorry I haven't checked in, but I have been very busy attending conventions, meetings, and dealing with non-stop Union issues, on top of my teaching load. I didn't take but one day off. In case you can't tell, I have been very happy, and my happiness levels, in general, are through the roof. More like to the moon.)
