Wax on, wax off

Sunday, October 06, 2013

This is something I teased my husband about the other day because he wanted to have a smothered burrito, but first he wanted to do a 700 calorie burn on his exercycle. I didn't have the heart to tell him the smothered burrito is way more than that, but I did say "take it off, put it back on." But as I thought about it I remembered the Karate Kid and how these seemingly repetitive cycles can build capacity.

We're learning abut cellular respiration in Biology and how hard the mitochodria work to get hydrogen out of the matrix... so that it can get pushed back in (which winds up being important, but don't they get tired?) It's just kind of this precarious condition of life that you can't stay in one place. Life means always juggling.

But keep at it, because most days you just paint the fence, but one of these days, Daniel Laruso's gonna fight!!!
