Day 2 of my challenge and all is going well.
I went to my parents place for dinner and they had gotten dessert for me. Barvarian, which is a fave of mine. Luckily my parents are super supportive and understood when I declined dessert. I made my fiancÚ eat his portion far away from me then tell me it tasted horrible. He does a lot for me.
Since sugar is in everything I'm not cutting it out entirely. For example I am still putting 3/4 of a teaspoon of sugar on my breakfast since my yogurt is unsweetened and the ceral has minimal sugar. I am also still having a mocha coffee if I feel like one (had one today but used sweetener instead of sugar). I have also had an alcoholic beverage both weekend nights, which is unusual for me. This challenge is more focused on my sugary snacking habit that is doing a number on my skin and body.
In other news - I wore a bikini in public 2 weekends in a row. And I looked hot. I made my fiancÚ take pictures as proof. I wish I could post them everywhere and shout from the rooftops but as a teacher I don't think that would be a good look.
In wedding news - the wedding is all booked and planned. Just need to finalize flowers (3 bouquets, nothing major) and get a few small bits and bobs and I'm done.
In honeymoon news - we booked our honeymoon today! We weren't going to have one because we can't actually afford it but a great deal came along and with a bit of shuffling and using credit cards we managed to make it work. Irresponsible? Probably but I'm only getting married once and I want a nice honeymoon. We are gong to Fiji for 7 nights to lay on a beach, snorkel, sip cocktails and enjoy being married! We are so excited about making the honeymoon happen. This will only be Luke's second time out of the country and his first time to a tropical island (I keep saying his first time to a Pacific island but technically NZ is a pacific island). Although I have traveled extensively for my 24 years, and been to the islands, I've never been to Fiji and I've never been on honeymoon!
Very exciting times ahead!
