Swimming lessons!

We were on a waiting list for lessons for Anissa, and I got the call we are in. Yay! Mondays and Wednesdays we will be off in the swimming pool learning safety with baby in the water. Exciting!

I have been struggling with exercise lately. That mojo just still has not come back. And now I have to worry about feeding Anissa because her weight seemed to be down for her 9 month check up. Seems like all I'm doing is feeding her lately, I don't understand how her weight is down. Because when we went to the public health unit she was doing good. I personally thing the scale in the doctor's office is off. I think I will take her to weigh her on monday and see if there is a difference in the scales.

Now I just need to find a way to workout at home. I've been scoping out gyms to see if maybe that will work out better for me instead of trying to find time at home. It just seems like when she's napping, I am doing laundry or something else that working out never crosses my mind.

I just got a new lap top, Touch screen with windows 8. I consider myself a computer savvy girl. I managed to figure it out in no time. I'm really enjoying the touch screen, makes scrolling through pages easier and entering in things I just touch the buttons instead of finding the curser and moving it to just press enter. I had to get a new lap top after Anissa sent my other one crashing to the floor. It was already on it's 9th life. I couldn't close it, it was no longer a portable computer. It still works so we will just leave it connected to tv to watch movies on. Now that I have a proper working excel I am learning some things to help me out for work when I go back. I was told by many people including my boss that I sure am missed there and it is not just my smile. They miss the work I got done.

    What a nice compliment from your boss!!!!

    I think that working out away from home worked best for me when my kid was little- because I needed the added motivation of seeing others work out-lol- and it allowed for "me" time. I would try to find a place with a babysitting room- ours at the Y is great or go after your DH gets home or some regularily scheduled time. If that's not a good option, maybe try to sign up for a Zumba class once or twice a week- that way DH knows that he needs to be available every Tuesday at six for example. ( my friend who is a stay-at-home Mom did that and it worked out best for her).

    And just an FYI- that same friend got a touch screen computer and guess who took it over? Her 2 yr old-LOL... so watch out for Anissa gettting her little pretty fingers on it in the not so distant future :-)

    As for her weight- my one niece is always underweight at the Dr's. I would not worry about it, as long as Anissa is healthy and happy- she might just be petite and going through a growth spurt. That's just my 2 cents of course ( I am not a Dr). Anyways, sometimes we stress out, because of what a professional told us, when they are simply going off some chart.
