Feel just sick about it!!

Saturday, October 05, 2013

Yesterday, bought a bag of Halloween candy. You know, the mix that has the candy corn and the soft, gushy sugary pumpkins, all with orange dye. Then I took a tour of our new wine and spirit Superstore with my credit card. End result: Indulgence last night and was up 1 lbs this morning. I feel just sick about it. 1 lb 6 ozs of candy. 3 stiff Scotch drinks late last night, with a little bit of wine.
Last night it was like I found the treasure. Today, I'm not even sure I want to eat or even walk on my fairly unsteady legs. Would like to just be back to normal, in sooo many ways. From the clouds and fog of Washington, best wishes, Glenn

Don't be so hard on yourself. You're allowed some indulgences every now and then. Go for your walk. You'll feel better after. :o)

It happens to us all! Like someone else said, it's all about how you deal with the aftermath. Do you decide to turn it into a weekend binge-fest, or do you just forget it and get right back on plan the next day? I've always found that 1 incident of off-plan eating doesn't do much damage mentally or craving-wise. But if I let it slip into a second day, that always turns into a week or 2!

I hope you got up today, downed tons of water, did some exercise, and just moved right on emoticon

Stacy, aka MADEIT3, now has someone to blame that missing candy on. She had the same experience with candy corn last week! emoticon

Glenn, we've ALL been there, done that. I'm with all the others who say "just move forward." I have a tendency to over-analyze the "why" I did it, but know that it makes no difference. What really matters is that I move on and forgive myself and learn from it. Have a great week! It starts NOW!!

Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start fresh. Use what happened as a learning experience and think about how you might handle it if a similar situation should arise.

It happens. Dust yourself off, drink LOTS of water. Just get back on track and onwards and upwards. emoticon
