Maybe Cocoavia cocoa improved my brain speed...

Friday, October 04, 2013

Lumosity brain games are supposed to improve about 5 kinds of brain function.

I have been playing these for months now. My speed has not improved much. emoticon

The other functions measured and practiced are flexibility, memory, problem solving, attention, and maybe one more. emoticon

After an initial improvement in most of these, I have lately been on a plateau. If I am tired or distracted my scores go done quickly. emoticon

For my age, I measure all above the 90th percentile emoticon except for speed. emoticon I was not surprised. In my daily life I tend to think slowly. I always hated that. That started at 70 and increased very slowly to around 80. Today for the first time it hit 90! emoticon

One of their tips is that dark chocolate emoticon helps brain functioning. I have been having this kind of cocoa most days for about 3 weeks now but showed not much change in brain skills.

But tonight emoticon I had just had the cocoa in my yogurt. I played the Lumosity games right after that. The speed increased noticeably! We'll see if that happens again. I sure hope so! emoticon

Hi Chris, I'm curious about the CocoVia product..I looked at their ads, and it seems interesting, but a bit pricey. So I'm wondering how it tastes, like in yogurt, and how bad are the calories?

I do agree doing any of these brain games...anything that makes you think~ has to be beneficial to mental health, brain function.
I basically only do Crosswords Puzzles and every Suduko I come across, and just reading helps! emoticon
