This challenge has given my the motivation to stay busy for most of this year and at one time I had a 100+ day streak going, which is the longest I have ever gone since joining SP. My motivation for this Fall challenge is to maintain a slow and steady weight gain, yes that's right a gain, for my pregnancy. So far I have gained around 25 lbs and I am only 23 weeks along and have about 17, give or take a few, weeks to go. I want to have the healthiest baby I possibly can while also ensuring that my labor and recovery will be swift as well.
Being able to take care of my baby after labor is very important to me and I know that the more active I am today and throughout my pregnancy the easier everything from delivery to recovery and beyond will be that much easier. If I can remain active throughout this pregnancy then I will be able to be more active after and therefore not only play an active role in my daughter's life but also return to activities sooner to help increase the recovery of my prior weight and to even surpass where I was to start with. I will be a healthy mom and be able to instil in my daughter the importance of healthy eating and an active lifestyle.
I hope to achieve optimal health by continuing to stay focused on my goals and by not leaving the 5 % challenges even when I have to head in the wrong direction for this blessing. Eventually I hope to reach my goal weight and maintain it for years to come by following these challenge for their motivation and accountability.
