Sorry I have been AWOL lately.... I have been off the wagon now for about three weeks. Sheesh! I felt better for about two days after all of the stress when my inlaws were here, then a week ago, I got a stupid cold. I am feeling better now but since I got the cold, I have been ravenous and eating too much. My husband says it is psychological, but I really feel HUNGRY. Oh well...

I know what I need to do to get back on track. I'll be honest and say I really don't want to do it... but I will. I admit I like stuffing my face and being lazy. But I know it is not good for me. I need to get back to making my daily goal lists and following through. Also I need to get back into the Spark scene and reconnect with my buddies and such.

Here is my list for today:

Go for a walk in the pm
No junk food
Drink at least 6 glasses water
Track my food
List all of the reasons I started on this journey

Okay, I feel slightly better just blogging.
I hope everyone is doing great and not as off-kilter as me!

    Stress is my trigger to get sick. I always get off plan when I have a cold because limited in what I can eat.

Welcome back on plan. Things will look up from here!

    I had a month when I relaxed things a little and although I kept up the walking and still managed to drop clothing sizes my weight didn't diminish.

If you have gained weight do what you know you have to do to get back down to the weight you were at before the gain then continue to build on that.

A minor set back is NOT a failure - it might be a couple of steps back but you are still facing the same direction. After first stopping the reverse aim to stand still then gradually start to push one foot in front of the other. You will get there a step at a time and you will be walking forward with a lot more people in here that will be walking with you to your goals.

  Do not fret over a wrong turn, lessons are learned whether your on the correct path or off road. You've taken the first step and have a good plan to get yourself back on your journey. Just keep looking forward!

    Missed you, even if it was just for a couple of weeks! I think it is normal to eat more with a know the old saying about "feed a cold, starve a fever?" Maybe your body is needing the calories to fight the cold. Who knows? Don't overwhelm yourself. Small steps. Two weeks of sitting on the couch being sick and lazy is nothing compared to a lifetime of being healthy!
