Best intentions...

Friday, October 04, 2013

I really have had the best intentions over the last couple of days, for all the good it has done for me. Every time I step on the scale it shows how careless I have been.
I keep telling myself that today will be a better eating day, then it derails for one reason or another. I just can't seem to get a handle on my cravings and food intake! HELP!!
Please let the weekend be better for food intake and exercise outtake!! I need to get back on the straight and narrow and quit cheating on myself!!

Thanks for reading and for any and all encouragement!

    Hi Julie,

I'm sorry to hear that you are so down on yourself. You have accomplished so much in your weight loss journey, and this appears to be your breather. Have the new meds helped at all or do you still feel the same cravings as before? Maybe if you pre-plan your meals and eat more frequently during the day, your blood sugar levels get low and the cravings won't be so strong. Also, if you push yourself to do only 10 minute increments of exercise at a time, you'll get more in without even realizing it.

Don't be so hard on yourself, everyone goes through stages. I think the most important thing that you said is that you are "cheating on yourself". Just remember your end goal and that is to be healthy! I'm with you - right in the same corner, rooting you on! You and I are going to reach that finish line even if we will take some detours along the way! I hope and pray that this weekend will be the one that will turn everything around! You are a beautiful person and you MUST put your health first! Have a healthy and happy weekend and I'm here if you want to talk!

    Gabi

OK Julie your being way to hard on your self.

You have gone through allot as of late.
    give your self time.
1 more thing you have always told me and that is to not use the scale for true results. may I say take the advice from me and leave the scale alone for a while. It's the the true results anyway.
Just some friendly advice you have given me a time or two.

Hmm...I've had the same problem this week! Slowly but surely I'm pulling myself out of it.

    One day at a time

Today is a new day! Together we can do it! Planning my food out in advance at night or in the morning helps me get back on track, I write at the bottom " this is my plan for today, it might not be easy at times today, but I will follow it, just for today and when I feel I cant stick with it I will not go off of this plan, I will find new ways to be okay... Just for to day.." and I sign it. Hang in there my friend. emoticon Have a wonderful weekend!
