Young, Sore - hey it's Friday!

Random blog title.
It's Friday again! Ahh that makes me so happy! I treated myself to Starbucks this morning - I only let myself have it on Fridays, and lately I havent been getting any on Fridays at all, but decided today I needed a treat. I get the mocha light frappucino, so calorie wise, it's not too bad, and I dont think it tastes any differently, but apparently some people can tell the difference between the regular and the light. The only thing different for me is that the light doesnt have whipped cream, and I am ok with that!
Yesterday I left work early around 3pm and went to the gym to get in my ST workout. I kind of wasnt really interested in working out, but once I got there, changed into my workout clothes, and walked into the weight room I felt better. Plus, it was pretty empty (maybe because of the furloughs?) so I felt like I could really focus on what I needed to do instead of getting frustrated about having to wait for a machine. I got in my full body ST workout, though I did skimp on legs since I had dance later that night and didnt want my legs to be too sore for dance class. After my ST workout, I did a short 25 minutes on the recumbent bike, which is quickly becoming my favorite low-impact cardio exercise lately! I was there for about an hour, and felt really good. My arms were shaking by the end of my workout, so I know I really worked them good! I got home at a decent time, ate dinner, and relaxed with my dog until it was time for dance class!
When I got to dance, most of my class seemed to be missing, so a smaller class meant more attention from our teacher focusing on our form. I really liked this though because I really want to get my form back to where it used to be! We really focused on lots of different jumps that involved arching our back and kicking our back leg out behind us. I knew I was going to feel that this morning! I think I mentioned previously how half of my class is college-aged girls. Well I made a comment about how one of them thought I was still in college and therefore she was my new best friend, and everyone else in the class that was there said they all thought I was still in college, too! When I told them I was actually 30, and a lawyer, they were all shocked! Definitely made me feel pretty awesome, though, that they thought I was in my early 20s!
This morning when I woke up it was raining pretty hard, and I really just wanted to stay in bed and enjoy listening to the rain hit the windows. I love that! Also, when I woke up I realized my glutes and hammies were pretty sore! Great feeling. Made getting out of bed much more difficult, though! At least it's Friday.
Anyone have any exiting plans?
My weekend is looking like this:
Friday night - J is planning a guy's night, so I am planning to clean up my kitchen (my stove looks disgusting - I hate the ceramic cook tops!); vacuuming the downstairs; and either finishing the binding on my quilt or doing some cross stitch while I catch up on my DVR. I also plan on throwing some food in the slow cooker for the weekend.
Saturday - taking Buffy to the groomer; getting in a workout at the gym. I am hoping I can convince J to go pumpkin picking! The weather is going to be much much cooler this weekend - in the 50s! I normally go grocery shopping at the commissary after the gym, but since the commissary is closed, I need to figure out a new grocery shopping plan that isnt going to cost me an arm and a leg!
Sunday - I am thinking of scheduling a massage. I have two free massages waiting for me at Massage Envy so I might as well use one! I also want to get some cooking for the week done, and start on my new quilt now that I received new fabric this week!
Oh I am also thinking about going to the quilt shop after work today, too. I just want to check out what they have in stock, and I need to pick up some backing fabric for a quilt I am planning to make. In my blog reader this morning, one of the blogs I follow had a tutorial for a handmade applique - she used a sports logo to put on a quilt that was completely one sports team's colors. It really inspired me! I dont know if I am that good yet, but it is something I am looking into as maybe a Christmas present for my dad! We shall see. I'm beginning one of those crazy crafter people!
